GIRLS ONLY FOR THIS HORSE ... THIS IS A TRUE, "GIRLY-GIRL" HORSE!!!
Tears of Angels, AKA "Angel," is exactly like her name. Stunning at 16,3 hands with a
very dramatic presence, she is an unmistakable thoroughbred. After a career as a
racehorse and then a lesson horse at a dressage barn for years, Angel was pathetically
dumped at New Holland when the stable decided to invest in a new crop of young horses
for their show program. Angel was taken to the "direct to slaughter pen" and had
bypassed the sale. There was no hope for her now. But a miracle did happen ... Angel
literally fell into the hands of Gray Dapple TAP when she was loading the slaughter
trailer along with 40 other doomed horses. All at once, she broke away from the herd
and trotted out of the corral into the hands of Amanda from Gray Dapple.
Her lead rope literally fell into Amanda's hand. Amanda walked her over to the
killer buyer and said, "I don't think this horse wants to go with you." The killer,
himself stunned by this tall gray horse's willful attempt at her own rescue,
miraculously agreed. "Just let her go through the ring then and bid on her.
I'll tell the manager to let you have her." And in that moment, Angel was safe
from slaughter. Angel has been at Gray Dapple since the winter of 2007. She has
been treated extensively for the worst case of rain rot Gray Dapple has seen.
She has been socialized with a group of horses and foals and is wonderful with
all of them. If you come and visit Angel in the pasture, she will follow you around
everywhere. This horse loves people, especially young kids!
She loves being bathed, groomed, and hand-grazed. She would be the perfect pet
and riding companion for a laid back person who just wants a gentle and beautiful
best friend and riding buddy. Light Riding only for Angel ... she's had a long career
and needs to be appreciated for the amazing soul that she is .. afterall, she was
"touched by an angel" and now her journey must continue with the best girl in the world!
